A new headshot for 2025

New year New me. It’s a standard saying, but it’s true.

It’s 2025 and your profile picture from Linkedin screams 2018. A lot has happened since then- it’s 7 years ago.. Yikes.

TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook- for the dinosaurs, no matter where- you need a decent photo. Even WhatsApp.

A business headshot isn’t a photo taken on your camera, nor is it a passport photo. It’s also not a photo from your holiday collection, with a sombrero and a beer in your hand or a photo your friend took.

Why a good headshot it important- at all times

Imagine your new business got asked to be featured in a local or national newspaper or and you don’t have a decent image to send them? Ouch.

Thankfully I’m here to help. You don’t have to go to a studio and stand in front of a black backdrop. I’ll come to you and we can take them in front of a brick wall, some greenery or at home in your living room.

Once you get one headshot done, you won’t need another one for ages.

What it’s like getting your headshot done with me?

The first step is - you call me and tell me a bit about yourself and what you’re looking for.

Are you a rock climber, a lighting business owner or a corporate employee?

Once we have an idea what you need, we can arrange a time and place. Do you want simple shots with one backdrop or do you want 30 with different backdrops? I have it all and I’ll come to you- even if you’re on the Blasket Islands, but you’ll have to pay for petrol.

How to prepare for a headshot

Ok so we’ve decided on the shoot. What do you wear?

A photographer can work magic, but do bring relevant clothing- a blazer/scarf. Make sure you look presentable.

Thankfully I’ll be able to guide you. I always have stuff with me too.

After that, we meet and the rest is fun. You smile, we get some lovely photos, we have a great rapport and you’re done.

The next day, you’ll get photos where you look confident, dynamic, engaging and ready to take on 2025. Pending on your deal- you’ll get between 20 and 40 images.
